EDUC 225 Education of Learners with Exceptional and Diverse Needs This course introduces the concept of exceptionality, providing an overview of various forms of atypical growth and development and teaching methods. The emphasis is on children having a variety of disabilities and/or delays and the implications for learning and growth. The roles of legislation; collaboration between parents, schools, and teachers; children’s cultures; and the rights of learners identified as having exceptional needs will be explored.
