ARTS 355 Multi-Level Projects in Time-Based Arts This studio class brings together students with a specialist interest in exploring time-based art forms-such as video, performance, and sound. The focus is on guided development of individual projects through experimentation and personal proposals. Students will participate in group critiques as well as regular one-on-one advising sessions, allowing for iterative refinement of each artist’s vision. The course introduces cultural and art-historical themes that inform emerging time-based practices. Key areas for advanced development include conceptual and technical approaches to working with time-based media; production methods (recording, editing, sequencing); presentation strategies; and considerations for showcasing work in various exhibition contexts.
