22-3225 Multiplicity: Theory and Practice in Contemporary Art Course examines the theoretical and philosophical implications of the multiple through readings, discussions, writing assignments, and studio art projects. Studio techniques demonstrated may include printmaking, casting, or other processes useful in the production of multiples. Course culminates in an individual presentation in which students examine their own work in the theoretical context established by the course. Art history students may present a similar analysis of the work of a contemporary artist.
