33-3485 Topics in Dancemaking: Course offers opportunities and challenges in advanced dance making. Each semester the course will focus on specific themes or issues in contemporary choreography. Possible themes include space, identity, music, narrative, technology, theatricality, text, and others. Each term’s focus will drive broad exploration and experience of dance making. Course activity will involve student invention, rehearsal, performance, and critiquing of dances created in response to assignments designed by experienced artists to explore each semester’s theme.
