43-2325 Studies in Applied Acoustics Course combines the curricula of a traditional introductory musical acoustics course with special topics on electro-acoustics, room acoustics, and spatial hearing perception. An in-depth presentation of the vibration and sound propagation issues pertaining to a wide range of musical instruments is presented in the context of timbre, tuning, and temperament. The course provides students with the opportunity to investigate and report on a specific project to be conducted as part of a team.
