43-3230 Master Class in Music Design Course introduces students to advanced concepts of musical design using tools of random access audio on a digital workstation. Each week, a component of musical design (for postproduction, editing, processing, and mixing) is introduced and illustrated by the instructor, who supervises the creation of a class project. This project serves as a model for techniques and aesthetics of DAW production. Students bring the weeks’ instruction to their own team projects, which they complete in a time frame that parallels the class project.
