50-1301 Politics, Government, and Society Course provides students with a broad introduction to American political ideas, individual and group political behavior, and public policy. Politics as well as local, state, and national government are examined in light of American history and traditions. Content examines the crucial role of government in the lives of Americans as well as the comparative values of political and governmental systems during various modern administrations. Semester concludes with a study of politics and government in Chicago.
