50-2631 Arts & Community Development Course introduces students to theory and practice of the arts as social action. Students undertake fieldwork in one of several on-going arts-based community projects. This practical work in a real-world situation is supported by readings and discussions in social and community psychology, the role of the arts in community development and methods of community research. Students will design a community research project and create personal narratives in their chosen medium reflecting some aspect of the course.
