52-6920 Thesis Development: Nonfiction

This course will serve to encourage students to develop, focus and move on to completing work on their theses, depending upon what stage of their work they are in at the time they take the class. This will have the effect of cross-pollinating studentsâ€™ work, moving students on to the germination of ideas through the example of their peers, motivating others to complete projects where the work is well on the way. Issues such as form, structure, shape, and theme will be addressed as well as how to put together a larger body of work, various strategies of conceiving, revising, and shaping a book-length manuscript.
