28-3422 Concepts of Music Production in Entertainment


Course provides a comprehensive overview of managing a recording environment specific to the music producer and his role in creating recoded music for the entertainment industry. Upon completion of the course, students should be able to: 1) understand all the responsibility of the producer and his role in the recording studio, 2) have a working knowledge of the tools used by the music producer and how they are used in the recording environment or independent of the recording environment, 3) apply analytical skills in the decision making process as it pertains to pre production, production and post-production, 4) be able to develop a tactical marketing production plan for implementation and define and measure success parameters for the plan.
