23-3910 Photography Seminar Course teaches students how to develop and shape a self-directed, long-term photography project designed to encourage students to work in a more independent manner and increase their expertise in seeing, editing and problem solving. Students learn to create work based on personal concerns and values as well as increase their capacity to speak and write articulately about their work. Students will also engage with professional practitioners in the field through lectures, writings, and in-class visiting lecturers to develop career strategies, discuss professional challenges, and place themselves in relation to contemporary photography practices. This is the capstone course for the BA in Photography, and part of the two semester capstone experience for BFA students in Photography. 3 Credits WI
